This website, mohanagill.com, is owned and operated by Mohana Gill (“we”, “us”, “our”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) in mind.
1. What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us, and basic technical information needed to run the website:
- When you request a free e-book: your name, email address, country, and, if you choose to share them, your WhatsApp number, what interests you about Moringa, and a short note about yourself.
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your message.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter: your name and email address.
- When you place an order or create an account: the details needed to process it, such as name, email, phone and delivery address. Payments are handled by the payment provider (for example PayPal); we do not see or store your card details.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting and plugins may record your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the website that referred you, and may use cookies (see section 5).
2. Why we use it
- To send you the free e-book or other items you asked for.
- To reply to your messages and enquiries, including speaking, workshop and book enquiries.
- To process and deliver orders.
- If you opted in, to send you occasional news about Moringa recipes, new books and events. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it, and to keep the website secure.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with trusted service providers that help us run this website, and only as needed for the purposes above. These include our website host (Hostinger), our email newsletter service (Mailchimp, only if you opt in), Google (for file downloads via Google Drive), and payment providers when you make a purchase. Some of these providers store data outside Malaysia; where this happens, we rely on them to protect your data in line with applicable law. We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. If you unsubscribe from our newsletter, we will stop sending you marketing emails. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
5. Cookies
This website uses cookies, small files stored in your browser, to make the site work (for example, keeping items in your shopping cart), to remember your preferences, and to help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct personal data that is inaccurate or out of date;
- stop using your data for marketing, or withdraw consent you have given;
- delete your personal data, where we are not required to keep it.

7. Keeping your data safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, including using a secure (HTTPS) connection and reputable service providers. However, no method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure.
8. Children
Some of our books are written for children, but this website is intended for use by adults, such as parents, teachers and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Links to other websites
This website links to other sites, such as Amazon, Shopee and our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, so please read their own privacy policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
